For instance, if your existing cabinets have hidden hinges you might not be able to retro-fit them with hinges which are visible, as the cabinets themselves are not established far enough apart to accommodate them.
By looking in the cabinets you've now, so start and see how they might be refitted without needing to do a lot of retrofitting. One of the points that are most easy to do will be to change out the pulls with knobs or pulls with knobs that are new. You do need to be aware that maybe not all pulls are the sam e width so you may not be able to match the bolt holes specifically, when operating with pulls. Knobs are the easiest since you're only matching one current hole, to substitute, not two as with pulls.
